● Introduction

Drawn cup needle roller bearings are divided into HK type and BK type, HK is perforated type, BK is sealed type. Compared with the perforated bearing, the sealed bearing is closed at one end, which is suitable for the shaft end and can withstand a small axial swimming force. The bearing consists of an outer ring, a cage and a set of needle rollers. The outer ring of the bearing is made of 1mm thick low-carbon steel strip or low-carbon alloy strip, which is precision stamped and formed. It is a thin ferrule. The bearing has a small radial section, a large load capacity, and a high rotation speed. It is especially suitable for large-volume products that require economy, as well as for occasions where the installation space is limited and the housing holes are not suitable for raceways. Drawn cup needle roller bearings have no inner ring, the needle roller is in direct contact with the surface of the shaft, and the machining accuracy and heat treatment hardness of the shaft should be the same as the inner ring of the bearing.

● Bearing Contact Fatigue Failure

Bearing contact fatigue failure refers to the failure caused by the alternating stress on the working surface of the bearing. Contact fatigue spalling occurs on the working surface of the bearing, which is often accompanied by fatigue cracks. It first occurs from the maximum alternating shear stress below the contact surface and then spreads to the surface to form different spalling shapes, such as pitting or pitting spalling. Flaking into small flakes is called shallow spalling. As the peeling surface gradually expands, it often expands to the deep layer, forming deep peeling. Deep spalling is a fatigue source for contact fatigue failure.
