But because of the crack sensitivity of GCr15SiMn steel is larger, poor impact toughness, so for large wall thickness of the mill and mining bearings in the conditions of large impact loads, generally limit the use of GCr15SiMn steel. GCr18Mo and GCr15SiMo hardened steel has been developed, its performance is superior to GCr15SiMn steel, can be used in railroad bearings, rolling mill bearings, mining machinery bearings instead of GCr15SiMn steel.
