What are the Main Types of Heat Treatment Equipment?

1. Continuous drum furnace

The furnace type is simple in structure, easy to maintain, occupies a small area, and has a high production efficiency. It can handle 5mm~40mm steel balls and 5mm~25mm rollers. It is a good heat treatment equipment for large-scale production of rollers.

2. Cast chain furnace

The furnace type has high thermal efficiency and a long casting chain plate life. The furnace type is characterized by detachable replacement after the conveyor belt chain is damaged, saving maintenance costs. Using this furnace type, small and medium-sized bearing rings of 28mm~120mm can be processed, which is suitable for large-scale production in large and medium-sized bearing factories.

3. Roller bottom furnace

The furnace type has high thermal efficiency, convenient maintenance, and a wide range of heat-treated rings. The ring with a diameter of 70mm to 1200mm can be placed directly on the roller rod, and the ring and roller with a diameter of less than 70mm can be installed on the material tray for heat treatment. The furnace type is generally mainly used to treat rings with a diameter of more than 100mm. The ring processed with this furnace type is free of bumps, and it is an ideal heat treatment equipment. However, due to the complex structure and high price of the furnace, it is suitable for large and medium-sized bearing factories.

4. Mesh belt furnace

The furnace-type heating conveyor belt is made of heat-resistant steel wire. Suitable for small and medium-sized bearing factories to deal with small bearing rings (single piece quality < 500g). The furnace structure is simple and the maintenance is more convenient. Muffle's mesh belt furnace can realize carbon-nitrogen co-osmosis of stamping rings, thin-layer carburizing and soft nitriding treatment of cages.

5. Bottom Furnace

The furnace-type furnace has small space, less protection atmosphere consumption, high thermal efficiency, simple mechanism, convenient maintenance, and low equipment price. However, this furnace type is only suitable for the quenching of small and medium-sized bearing parts with a ring size of less than 60mm.

6. Intermediate frequency induction heating quenching

High-carbon chromium bearing steel adopts intermediate frequency induction heating and quenching. Intermediate frequency induction tempering technology is a reliable technology to improve the service life of bearings, ensure the stability of heat treatment quality, save energy, cover a small area and have a high degree of automation. It is suitable for bearing manufacturers with few varieties and large quantities.

7. Vacuum heat treatment furnace

For special bearings, such as high-temperature bearings, stainless steel bearings and bearing parts with high reliability requirements, vacuum heat treatment furnaces are generally used for processing.

8. Carburizing equipment

For carburizing bearing rings produced in small quantities, it is recommended to adopt a controllable atmosphere well carburizing furnace or multi-purpose furnace. The mass production of carburizing sleeves should adopt the through-push disk carburizing furnace production line.

9. Annealing equipment

It is recommended to use push-rod isothermal annealing furnaces for mass production enterprises. Precision bearing forgings should be annealing with a protective atmosphere annealing furnace.

10. Bainite quenching equipment

At present, the bainite isothermal quenching process in China is mainly used in railway passenger vehicle bearings, locomotive bearings and rolling mill uranium bearings. According to the machining characteristics of bearings, the heat treatment equipment used is also different. This kind of equipment is mainly divided into two categories: for railway bearings with a single bearing model, automatic heat treatment production lines are usually used, and for multi-variety and small batches of non-standard rolling mill bearings, cycle furnaces are mostly used.
