What are the Common Ways of Grease Lubrication of Miniature Flanged Ball Bearings?

The advantages of grease lubrication for miniature flanged ball bearings are simple sealing structure and lubrication method, easy maintenance, and grease is not easy to leak. The amount of grease is generally recommended to fill the bearing internal free space of 1/3~1/2 for the best. Grease lubrication is generally suitable for medium and low speed; the advantage of oil lubrication is good fluidity, in the circulating oil lubrication, heat dissipation and cooling effect is obvious, but the requirement of lubrication facilities and sealing structure is more complex.

Miniature flanged ball bearings grease is a semi-solid lubricant made of lubricating oil, thickener and additives. R&C grease can be divided into calcium-based grease, sodium-based grease, lithium-based grease, aluminum-based grease, barium-based grease, etc.

Calcium-based grease is insoluble in water and has a low dropping point, so it is suitable for parts with low temperature and humid environment.

Sodium grease: It is high temperature resistant, but dissolves in water, suitable for high temperature and dry environment.

Lithium grease: It has good water resistance and high dropping point, and can be used in wet and water contact parts.

Aluminum-based grease: characterized by high water resistance, can be used in parts in contact with water, suitable for centralized lubrication system and shipping machinery parts lubrication and corrosion prevention.

Barium-based grease: characterized by good water resistance, high dropping point, insoluble in gasoline and alcohol and other organic solvents, suitable for lubrication of oil pumps, water pumps and other friction parts.
