What is the Rated Life of Bearings?
Jun 15, 2022
The rated life span of bearings in various types of machinery is roughly as follows:
300 h~3,000 h for machinery used frequently or for a short time (such as household machinery, agricultural machinery, medical equipment).
Short-term or occasional use of machinery (such as power tools, workshop hooks, construction machinery) 3000 h ~ 8 000 h.
Short-term or occasional use, but the need for very high reliability of machinery (such as elevators, for all types of packaging, barrels or bundled goods lifting equipment) 8000h ~ 12000h.
Daily operation of 8h but not continuous use of machinery (such as machine tools, woodworking machines, engineering machinery, printing equipment, ventilation fans) 20 000 h ~ 30 000 h.
24h daily continuous operation of the machine (such as rolling mill gear box, compressor, mining winch, textile machinery) 40,000h ~ 50,000h.
Machines that operate continuously for 24 hours a day and require high reliability (such as water equipment, converters, ocean-going ship propulsion machinery) 60,000 h~100,000 h.
24h daily continuous operation and the need for very high reliability of the machine (such as power plant equipment, mine drainage, ventilation equipment) is about 100,000 h.
